This year, we wanted to offer parents an alternative to Trick or Treat. So, we have decided to have our own Trunk or Treat.

When: Sunday, October 31st, 2010
Time: Immediately following the evening service.
Place: Grace Baptist Park and Picnic Shelter.

Details: We ask that everyone bring candy in their car trunks ready to pass out. We will ask that everyone park their car in the field beside the bus barn, and around the drive. Plan on having enough candy for around 200 children. We will also be serving drinks and deserts in the picnic shelter.

The theme for the night will be “Bible Character Night.” There will be judges walking around looking at the different costumes and judging for various categories (to be announced later).

If you would like to participate in any way, please let us know.

Praise the Lord for the over 200 in attendance. Some of us husbands were able to spend some much needed time at home with the kids. I know that my wife in particular was completely shocked to come home and find that we still had a home.

What do you know… he really does know how to run the vacuum.

We do not say it enough, but than you ladies for all the hard work you do. This weekend was just what my wife needed. Some time alone with the ladies growing spiritually. I, for one, am going to do my best to afford my wife more opportunities to have some alone time for her to spiritual growth.

I can iron my own shirts from time to time.

I can cook her a meal and do a dish too.
